B-Grade JungleVine® bags are our market seconds, rejected during quality control. While these discounted hand-made bags didn’t pass our quality control inspections, they’re still a great choice. They’re fully functional and there is nothing structurally wrong with them, but they’re substandard--not quite on par with our best bags. They’re an eco-friendly option, too, as we don’t allow any of our B-Grade bags to end up in landfills.

Every bag we sell has been handcrafted by Khmu women, who pass down the bag-making craft from mother to daughter. In fact, the bag-making tradition has been an important part their culture for more than a thousand years.
New artisans practice their first few bags under strict guidance, as they hone in on and perfect their bag-making skills. Their elders are such effective teachers that it only takes a few bags before each new artisanal bag maker is creating flawless bags. Of course, they don’t want their less-than-perfect bags to go to waste, and that’s how they become B-Grade JungleVine® bags.
